Getting Around Edinburgh
Edinburgh has so much to see and do that it is important to effectively move around. Lucky a lot of the sites to visit are located pretty close to each other. The old and new town is pretty much next do to each other and over laps so visiting places is easy by walking.
Getting around in the city is pleasant by foot but if you do not enjoy this you may want to consider hiring a bike. Biking around the city is fun as well as being good exercise! There are also some bike paths which can be cycled along for fun.
Other ways of Getting around can include the local buses or train. The trains in Edinburgh are great if you wish to visit some of the surrounding smaller towns or villages. The local buses are the main way that the locals move around and tourists can as well.
Getting around at your own convenience can be done if you choose to hire a car. Some tourists will choose to hire a car as it is cheap and an easy way to travel the city and also to visit outside of the city. Edinburgh has ample parking and it is relatively low in cost as well.
The main choice of Getting around the city are by car, bus, foot or bicycle. Depending on how you feel and how many people there are you do have a choice. When travelling further a car or the train is a good option.
